HR Communications and Outreach Coordinator

Summary/Objective

The HR Communications and Outreach Coordinator produces content for the HR department for the purposes of informing, requesting action, and engaging AU workforce audiences. Schedules and tracks the work of the HR Communications team, and plans and executes stakeholder outreach efforts for HR Leadership. Works under the supervision of the Director of HR Communications and in close communication with the Sr. Director, Talent Strategies.

Essential Functions

Writes and produces email, web, social media, and other communications content for the HR Office, coordinating with the Director of Communications and internal and external stakeholders on content, messaging, and timing. Where possible, tracks analytics and produces usable insights for the Communications team about reader behavior.

Manages HR Communications projects and internal communications calendars, updating daily and ensuring those assigned to the work are aware of deadlines, that the communications products are accurately tracked, and bringing barriers to completion to the Director of Communications for resolution.

Coordinate community outreach to our constituencies – planning outreach efforts in consultation with Sr Leadership. Creates and/or compiles with messaging and items to share, creates regular meeting schedules, performing meeting logistics, creates decks, captures feedback and ensures HR Leadership receives it.

Other duties as assigned. Assists with a variety of HR Communications projects, including posting content on the web or social media, attending meetings about Talent Strategies or other HR initiatives, formulating plans for new HR Comms products, performing maintenance on existing content to keep it refreshed.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

3-5 years of relevant experience

Preferred Education and Experience

Master’s degree or equivalent

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must submit a portfolio of written communications for review to be considered. Academic papers or creative writing are not considered appropriate styles for this role – submissions should be related to marketing or internal communications type of work.
